BCECE Senior Resident/ Tutor Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria
To apply for BCECE Senior Resident/Tutor 2024, candidates must fulfill the following eligibility requirements:
Education Qualification
- 40% of the posts will be filled by members of the Bihar State Health Services cadre.
- 40% of the posts will be filled by doctors who have completed postgraduate degree course (under residency scheme) from medical colleges of Bihar.
- The remaining 20% posts will be filled by doctors who have obtained postgraduate degrees (under the residency scheme) from recognised institutions outside the state.
The minimum educational qualification for the post of Senior Resident/Tutor is a postgraduate degree in the concerned specialty. In case of shortage of eligible candidates, diploma in the concerned specialty will be considered as the minimum qualification, for which the candidate will be awarded 10 marks equivalent to a postgraduate degree. However, such candidates will be placed below postgraduate degree holders in the merit list.
Candidates having equivalent postgraduate degree as per the teacher eligibility criteria of Medical Council of India will also be eligible for selection.

- The upper age limit for applicants is 45 years as on August 1, 2024.
- Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.
