Eligibility

- For each Panchayat, 7 eligible applicants will be selected based on the vacancies.
- This will include 4 members from Scheduled Caste/Tribe (SC/ST) and 3 from Extremely Backward Class (EBC).
- There can be a maximum of 7 beneficiaries per Panchayat.
- The minimum age of the beneficiary should be 21 years on the date of application.
- The beneficiary should not be employed in government service and should not already own a commercial vehicle.
- To avail the benefit, the beneficiary must be a resident of the concerned Panchayat.
- It is mandatory for the beneficiary to have a Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) licence.

How much money will be available under this scheme?
The money under the scheme will be up to 50% of the purchase price of the vehicle and a maximum of (one) lakh rupees. Purchase price of the vehicle means the ex-showroom price of the vehicle, the total price including third party insurance and vehicle taxes. A maximum of Rs. 2 lakh will be given in case of purchase of e-rickshaw.
