Eligibility Criteria For JEE Main Exam

  • To be eligible for this examination, you must have obtained at least 75% in your class 12 (CBSE, ISC, board, etc.) results.
  • Otherwise, students should be in the top 20 percentile of their Class 12 examination undertaken by their committee.
  • Applicants who identify as SC or ST need to score at least 65% in their Class 12 board exams to be eligible.

  • JEE Full Form is the Joint Entrance Examination.
  • JEE Advanced and JEE Main are the two exams that collectively make JEE. One of the most difficult entrance exams for undergraduate courses is the JEE Advanced exam.
  • The qualifying exam known as JEE Main is what enables candidates to take the JEE Advanced test, which is the final step towards admission to universities such as NITs and IITs.
  • The JEE Main exam is administered twice a year, with the assumption that there will only be one admission attempt during a given academic session. Candidates may select one or both papers. The exam will be conducted online.

    While candidates may take the JEE Main exam three times in a row, they may only take the JEE Advanced exam twice in a row.
    The National Testing Agency (NTA), which administers the JEE Main exam, sets the cut-off score, which varies based on the category (General, OBC, SC & St, and PWD).
