Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test 2024: Apply Online for OTET 2024

Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha invites online applications for Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test 2024 (OTET 2024) for Classes I to VIII in schools of Odisha State. All eligible and interested male and female candidates can apply online for Odisha TET 2024 from 24 June 2024 till the last date of application 05 July 2024 on the official website of BSE Odisha at bseodisha.ac.in.

OTET Notification 2024

The candidates of Odisha who want to participate in TET for Paper I or II are eagerly waiting for the notification to be released for a very long time. Candidates who meet certain eligibility criteria are informed that the BSE Odisha has been published on June 21, 2024.

OTET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for OTET 2024, candidates must fulfil the following criteria:

Educational Qualification (Category-A)

• Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year CT or D.El.Ed. OR
• Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002. OR
• Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years B.El.Ed. OR
• Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2 year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR
• Graduation and two years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
• Graduation with at least 50% marks and B.Ed.
• Postgraduate with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three year integrated B.Ed. M.Ed. who has acquired the qualification of Bachelor of Education from an NCTE recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as teacher for classes 1 to 5, provided that the person appointed as teacher shall have to compulsorily undergo six months bridge course in elementary education recognized by NCTE within two years of such appointment as primary teacher.

Educational Qualification (Category-B)

• Graduation and two years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
• Minimum 50% marks in Graduation or Post Graduation and B.Ed. OR
• Graduation with at least 45% marks and 1 year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
• Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) OR
• Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 year B.A./B.Sc. Ed or B.A. Ed./B.Sc. Ed. or
• Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1 year B.Ed. (Special Education). OR
• Post Graduate with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three year Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.
