AFCAT Eligibility Criteria
AFCAT 2 2024 eligibility criteria for Ground Duty and Flying Branch posts are given below.
Educational Qualification
Flying Branch
- Educational Qualification: Minimum 50% marks in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and a graduate degree (3 years) with 60% marks or equivalent. Alternatively, a BE/B Tech degree (4 years) with 60% marks or equivalent.
Ground Duty (Technical Branch)
- Educational Qualification: Minimum 60% marks in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and a 4-year engineering degree with 60% marks or equivalent.
Ground Duty (Non-Technical Branch)
- Educational Qualification: Graduate degree (3 years) in any discipline with 60% marks or equivalent. Specific branches may require a postgraduate degree.
Age Limit
- Age as on: 01/07/2025
- Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years, born between 02 July 2001 to 01 July 2005.
- Ground Duty: 20 to 26 years, born between 02 July 1999 to 01 July 2005

How to Apply Online for AFCAT 2024?
Candidates for IAF must apply online using the link https://careerIndianairforce.cdac.in, or https://afcat.cdac.in. Aadhar card is mandatory for online registration. Detailed instructions for filling the online application form are attached below:-
- Click on “Candidate Login” on the home page – leads to AFCAT sign-in.
- In the next page, applicants should click on “Not registered yet?” Have to click on. register here”.
- Sign Up: Creation of Log-in ID and the applicant will receive a password on his/her registered email ID.
- After successful registration, sign-in with the registered email ID and system generated password.
- Fresh login.
- Selecting entry: “AFCAT”; “NCC Special Entry for Flying Branch”, “Meteorology Entry”.
- Click on “Filling the Application Form”, fill all the required details in the application form carefully
- Click “Save & Continue” to proceed to the next step
- Click on “Make Payment” – Online (Applicable for AFCAT only)
- Click on “Payment Status” to see if the payment is successful or not. If the registration number is displayed, it means the payment is successful.
