BSF Water Wing Eligibility Criteria 2024
The candidates must fulfill the following criteria to apply for these posts:
Age Limit as on 01.07.2024
- SI (Master/Engine Drive): 22-28 Years
- HC & Constable: 20-25 Years
- Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories.
Education Qualification
SI (Master)
- 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized board or university. And
- Second Class Master Certificate issued by Central/State Inland Water Transport Authority/Mercantile Marine Department.
SI (Engine Driver)
- 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized board or university. And
- First Class Engine Driver Certificate issued by Central/State Inland Water Transport Authority/Mercantile Marine Department.
HC(Master)
- Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board. And
- Serang Certificate.
HC(Engine Driver)
- Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board. And
- Holder of Second Class Engine Driver Certificate.
HC(Workshop)
- Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board. And
- Diploma by Industrial Training Institute in Motor Mechanic (Diesel/Petrol Engine), Electrician, AC Technician, Electronics, Machinist, Carpentry and Plumbing for the post of HC (Workshop) Mechanic (Diesel/Petrol Engine), HC (Workshop) Electrician, HC (Workshop) AC Technician, HC (Workshop) Electronics, HC (Workshop) Machinist, HC (Workshop) Carpenter and HC (Workshop) Plumber respectively from a recognized Institute.
Constable (Crew)
- Matriculation equivalent from a recognized board. And
- One year experience driving a boat less than 265 HP.
- Should be able to swim in deep water without any assistance.
