Selection Procedure

The selection process for Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant includes:

• Computer Based Test (CBT): A preliminary screening test to evaluate the aptitude and knowledge of the candidate.
• Preliminary Selection Board (PSB): Candidates selected through CBT have to undergo further examination which includes Mental Ability Test and Picture Perception & Discussion Test.
• Final Selection Board (FSB): Candidates who are successful in the PSB are called for the FSB, which consists of psychological tests, group tasks and interview.
• Medical Examination: Finally, candidates are subjected to a thorough medical examination to ensure they meet the physical standards required for the role.
